The Battle Is The Lord’s

The Lord says this to you: Be not afraid or dismayed at this great multitude, for the battle is not yours, but God’s. (2nd Chronicles 20:15)

When Jehoshaphat was faced with multitude at war against him, his heart melted, he was afraid in that scaring situation he declared a fast to seek help from the Lord. The bible says, those who know their God will be strong and do exploit. God told king Jehoshaphat not to be afraid or dismayed that he will take over the battle. Hence, they needed not to fight but to praise God. On the day of the battle, the Lord set ambushes against the multitude and they began to fight themselves. How do we react when we face challenges, battles of life and when there is a situation that seems to be no way out? Be steadfast, unmovable and pray until you see a change. Do not give up, keep the faith, take your position, stand and witness the salvation of the Lord as he takes over your battles. He that has led you this far will not leave you alone but see you to the very end. Pray along with me:

O God of our fathers, help me not to be afraid or dismayed for you are my God, strengthen me and help me in this battle. Uphold me with your hand of righteousness, of justice, power, victory and salvation. Take over all my battles, visible and invisible, my daily battles in my job, school, business, career, project and in the works of my hand, take over Lord and do not permit the enemy to prevail against me – in the name of Jesus.
